This week, our customer in Miami received his Marlboro Senna-inspired oil drum furniture from us—and moments like this make us stop and appreciate how far WHIPD has come.

What started in Rossendale in 2021 is now reaching collectors across the world. Seeing pieces we’ve sent from our Lancashire workshop arrive thousands of miles away is something we’ll never take for granted.

A rare and highly collectible piece of motorsport history, signed by three legendary drivers: Stirling Moss, Lance Macklin and Mike Hawthorn.

This original programme comes from the 1955 Le Mans race, remembered for the tragedy that left a lasting mark on motorsport.

Included are original British and French newspaper cuttings covering the disaster, adding a poignant contemporary record to this remarkable collection.

A brilliant piece of British motorsport history has just arrived at WHIPD.

This is an original Silverstone Circuit traffic road sign, believed to date from the 2000s era, complete with the period AA emblem, racing car graphic and directional arrow.

Measuring an impressive 100cm wide, it has a reflective face and metal construction, with plenty of genuine age-related marks, scratches and wear from its previous life at the circuit. Exactly the character you want from an original piece.

#70,000 FOLLOWERS! 🏁

How did we do it?

There wasn’t one secret trick or overnight success. It came from consistently working on a few key areas:

• Genuinely engaging with every follower
• Using affiliate links and partnerships to expand our reach
• Investing heavily in Meta advertising — and learning through plenty of trial and error
• Regularly engaging with similar accounts across the automotive industry
• Working with influencers to increase our visibility and introduce WHIPD to new audiences

Above everything else, we’ve stayed consistent, listened to our audience and built real relationships with collectors around the world.

We started WHIPD in Lancashire in 2021. Reaching 70,000 followers is something we’re incredibly proud of, but we certainly couldn’t have done it without every person who has followed, shared, commented, purchased or recommended us.

WHIPD AUTOMOBILIA — ESTABLISHED 2021

I’m Dan, founder of WHIPD Automobilia.

WHIPD was established here in Rossendale, Lancashire, in 2021. It began with a genuine passion for cars, motoring history and the excitement of finding unusual pieces with a story behind them.

Since then, we’ve grown into a business supplying original automobilia, vintage signs, illuminated displays and bespoke pieces to collectors, garages and businesses around the world.

Looking back at these photographs is a reminder of how far we’ve come. The surroundings, the stock and the scale of the business may have changed, but our purpose remains the same: to discover and create remarkable pieces for people who share our passion.

I’m incredibly grateful to every customer, follower, friend and collector who has supported WHIPD since the beginning. Your orders, messages, shares and recommendations have all played a part in our story.

We’re extremely proud to be building an international brand from our home here in Rossendale—and this is still only the beginning.
