Tentipi Camp 2026⛺

We had an amazing time at this year's Tentipi Camp at Carrog Station Campsite .

The sun shone for us and it was great to spend some time relaxing in our Tentipi Adventure Tents.

Peter and Lesley had the Safirflex up for social get togethers and we even enjoyed some live music in the evenings. 🎻

It was really good to see our friends and to share our Tentipi adventures. 🏕

💼Part-time retail sales assistant.
⏰Hours per week. 18-20 over 3 days including half of all weekends
💵Rate of pay: £13.45/hour (we are a real living wage employer)

ProAdventure is looking for an enthusiastic outdoor pursuits lover with a track record in retail sales to join our small team in Llangollen.

We are an outdoor shop in the heart of the Dee Valley in North East Wales. We have an eclectic mix of high quality, traditional outdoor gear for walking, hiking and camping along with a range of bushcraft and outdoor living supplies which includes Swedish Tipis, bushcraft knives, axes for woodworking, fire-bowls and cast iron cook wear. We have a reputation for great customer service and knowledgeable staff and we love what we do both in the shop and on the hill.

This is a hands-on, shop floor role in a busy, outdoor retailer with a strong online presence. You'll be meeting customers, finding out what they need, getting kit into their hands and helping them make the right choice, whether that's boots, camping gear, technical clothing or a new tipi and backyard cooking setup. You will also be handling queries, returns, refunds and special orders, booking in and storing deliveries, keeping the shop and stockroom tidy and generally being a positive, knowledgeable presence for our customers. Full training is provided.

🤓What we're looking for:

- A genuine love of the outdoors and active participation in at least one pursuit — hill walking, camping, climbing, bushcraft, paddling, cycling, or similar
- Friendly, engaging personality with a smart appearance
- Good spoken and written English and solid arithmetic
- Confident with computers and technology
- Self-motivated, well-organised and willing to learn every day
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, ideally in the outdoor sector
- Welsh language skills would be a welcome bonus
- GCSE passes in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above and some qualification or training above GCSE level (A-level or equivalent preferred).
- Applicants must be over 18 due to the unsupervised sale of age-restricted products (knives, axes, gas & adhesives).

- £13.45/hour, linked to the Real Living Wage (new rate announced September, Paid from April)
