The sound of gongs is complex. With flumies it can be hard to distinguish which part of the overall sound is coming from them, and which is from your gong. Playing on glass can help you focus on the flumie element on its own. This really helps with mastering how each size works, the pressure that works best , whether they need a wash etc. It’s not a particularly nice sound, but it’s helps to master flumies!🙏

Some people don’t like the sound of high flumies. They find them haunting, wailing out of tune like lost ghosts. BUT things get a lot more tranquil of they are played in tune with the gong. Much care is given to avoiding dissonance in sound healing, and for good reason, so let’s get those flumies under control! My Triton Flumie was created with is mind. Three flumie sizes on shafts that fall easily under the thumb for quick and accurate pitching. £60
