Push the limits of shallow-water exploration!
We’ve embarked on an exciting R&D project testing a jet-powered outboard on our project 380. Unlike a standard propeller outboard, a jet drive draws water in and propels it out, giving us the ultra-shallow clearance needed to navigate rocky riverbeds, shallow estuaries, and hard-to-reach spots. 🛠️

To get the jet intake positioned just right, we’re engineering a custom transom bracket to raise the engine height and optimize water flow before taking her out for live water trials. While jet setups aren't for everyone, hands-on testing like this gives us invaluable insights into boat dynamics and hull design. 🚤

On the Water with Glen Pointon & The Maelstrom 380 HD 🎣

Great to see Glen Pointon out on the water off Anglesey, Wales, in his Maelstrom 380 HD inflatable boat ("The Joey").

Using live bait, Glen put the Maelstrom through its paces while targeting local bass—and was rewarded with an active feeding session right up to a memorable final cast!

The Maelstrom 380 HD is built for versatility, stability, and handling coastal conditions like these with ease, making it a solid platform for serious sea angling.

📰 Fantastic to see Maelstrom featured in Catch Cult Magazine! 🎣
Andy Loble recently put our Maelstrom HD380 Sport inflatable boat through its paces in Edition 53, taking it out targeting tope on an offshore trip.
He highlighted how its generous deck space, robust aluminium floor, and stable ride make it a brilliant, heavy-duty SIB for anglers and coastal explorers who want room to grow without stepping up to a rigid-hull boat.
