We’re very excited to be adding a NEW Expressive Coastal Landscape Painting Workshop with brilliant local artist Matt Pooley!

If you love wild skies, crashing waves, rugged coastlines and expressive painting, this one is going to be gorgeous. 😍

Matt will show you how to use composition, colour, texture and bold brushwork to create your own unique interpretation of a beautiful coastal landscape in acrylic.

And you do not need to be an experienced painter!

Whether you’re a complete beginner, haven’t painted for years, or just fancy trying something new, Matt’s relaxed teaching style makes this a really enjoyable, creative afternoon.

❤️ A little update from Authentic

What a few days it’s been.

As many of you will have seen, there was a serious fire next door to us at Hei Hei over the weekend.

Most importantly, we are incredibly thankful that nobody was injured.

Sadly, Hei Hei has been left with a huge amount of damage and will be closed for some time while they begin the difficult job of getting everything back up and running. We’re thinking of the whole team and really hope they’re able to get back on their feet as soon as possible. ❤️

We also cannot say enough about the incredible fire crews who attended.

Their response was absolutely amazing. They worked tirelessly to contain the fire and, quite simply, they saved Authentic from burning too. The crews were still on site until lunchtime yesterday, which really puts into perspective just how much work went into bringing everything under control and keeping everyone safe.

We genuinely cannot thank them enough for what they did. ❤️

We have been incredibly lucky. The shop is still standing and, although we’ve got cleaning, decorating and a fair bit of sorting out to do, we’re hoping to have the doors back open by this weekend. 🤞

Thank you SO much to everyone who has messaged, called, checked in on us and offered to help. The kindness we’ve been shown has been quite overwhelming.

For now, we’re rolling our sleeves up and getting Authentic ready to welcome you all back.

And to our neighbours at Hei Heis we’re sending you lots of love and wishing you all the very best with the huge job ahead. ❤️

We’ll keep you updated about reopening.

Busy morning at Authentic! 🚚💨
We’ve been out and about dropping off our gorgeous garden benches to their new homes, so our lovely customers have got them ready to enjoy this weekend. ☀️🌿
And I think our giddiest customer of the morning has to be the one receiving the rocking bench 😂🙌 I’m not sure who was more excited, them or us!
