If you're just looking for that high end gaming PC that will keep you going for years to come then this is it. Combining the best performing componants I've tested through building thousands of PC's along with my 20 years of overclocking/tuning knowledge (performance gains of +15 - 20%) and my custom gamer focused version of windows 11 that runs leaner, faster and cleaner than the standard os, results in a highly tuned and responsive system that will greatly out perform a similar spec at retail.

🔥Upgrades🔥
£100 CPU - upgrade to the 9850x3d, currently the fastest gaming processor on the market. +5 -10% performance.
£200 RAM - get a highly binned kit of 32gb RAM. Only have a few of these kits left as they are currently unavailable anywhere else due to the RAM apocalypse. These kits allow tighter timings and increase performance by about 5-7%.
£150 - Coil Whine Reduction Modifaction. This will greatly reduce any possible coil whine and reduce temps across the board.
So lets breakdown the parts list.
⚙️ Motherboard - I've choosen the Asrock B650M-HDV/m.2. This is my go to board as it's a 2 dimm board so the traces are closer to the processsor which increases performance and stability plus it maxes out the performance of both the processor and the RAM and has a solid VRM to supply the processor with all the power it needs. Comparing this to the say the Asus ROG Hero X870e which I've build many high end builds in, there is zero differance in performance between them when tuned.
⚙️ CPU - The 9800x3d offers fantastic price to performance. With its 8 cores and x3d cache, this is the perfect CPU geared towards gaming. Also worth noting is the Ryzen 9 9950x3d processors. These should not be used for gaming systems as they end up being slower.
⚙️Cooler - The Thermalright AQUA ELITE 360 V3. The price to performance of this AIO is unmatched and it out performs many other AIO's that are often 5x the price (Corsair , NZXT, Li Lian). When setting up a PC I always use the program Y-Cruncher as a stress test and this is one of only a few AIO's on the market that doesn't thermal throttle. You would need to go with EK, Asus or Noctua to exceed the performance this offers.
⚙️RAM - This is where this build exceeds over similar specs at retail. For these builds I stick to Hynix a die DDR5 RAM kits which are the fastest on the market. I set up both primary and secondary timing which makes a big difference performance wise and in particular 1% lows. Worth noting as well is for AMD processors you should not go above 6400mhz as the infinity fabric speed is halfed after this point and in gaming performance this would be slower.
⚙️GPU - When tuned I've noticed all 5080's end up very similar in performance and there's no benifit performance wise between any of them. From the entry level Palit versons to the best of the best Asus Astral / MSI Suprim. They all max out at about 3200/3300mhz regardless of model. So I've choosen the Zotac solid 5080, this offers great price to performance and is also the exact model I use in my own gaming system as it has a solid build quality and decent heatsink with capabilities of easily hitting between 3100mhz/3200mhz on the core while sticking to its locked 1.025v and sitting at roughly 300watts. This will match the 4090 which costs double the price in most games❄️.
⚙️Power - The most important part when choosing a power supply for a 5080 is that its using the 3.1 ATX standard. This is to prevent any possible cable melting thats a concern with 5080's. I use a Seasonic 850w 80+ gold 3.1atx psu, which is easily considered the best out there and for good reason.
So combining all this with our custom gamer version of windows and tuning the system aswell will greatly improve performance over our retail counter parts.
