Another quality offering from Rapido, our Railway Icons collection OO-gauge Highland Railway No.109 is currently available in DCC ready for £219.95 and sound fitted for £319.95. This spectacular and very distinctive model depicts No.109 in HR Drummond II Green livery (as it ran in 1916-1923).

The Highland Railway's 'Jones Goods' were a class of steam locomotives, recognised primarily for being the inaugural class to feature a 4-6-0 wheel arrangement in the British Isles.

Sharp, Stewart and Company constructed and delivered fifteen 'Jones Goods' locomotives, numbered 103 to 117, between September and November 1894. These locomotives held the distinction of being the most powerful main line engines in the country at the time of their manufacture. While primarily designed for freight transport, they frequently found themselves pressed into service for passenger duties, given the substantial variations in traffic volume experienced by the Highland Railway.

We're very excited to share these brand new sample images of our Exclusive LNER Class 91 No.91150 'National Railway Museum 50 Years' OO-Gauge model from Hornby. Although the colours will be slightly lighter on the finished product, we think this brilliant sample demonstrates well how detailed and eye-catching this showstopper model will be.

No.91150 will come with all the features present on Hornby's well-loved Class 91 models, including separately fitted detail parts, a 21 Pin DCC decoder socket and a smooth and powerful drive motor system. It is available in DCC Ready for £244.99 or Sound Fitted for £299.99. Either can be secured for a £30 deposit with full balance payments required before we dispatch your order.

Last month at the NEC we had chance to get some snaps of our Exclusive Class 55 No.55002 'Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry' model on the beautiful Witham layout. As always we offer warm thanks to our friends at Witham for their help in taking these photographs.

The affectionately nicknamed KOYLI is on display in the North Shed of the National Railway Museum in York. Our OO-gauge Accurascale model is available in in DCC ready for £169.99 and sound fitted for £259.99.

We have received the first livery sample of our Exclusive OO-Gauge Class 91 No.91150 'National Railway Museum 50 Years' and it goes without saying that we are very excited about this one! We expect to be able to share photography after the 18th of May, but the sample will be on display during the Models Weekend at Locomotion if you can't wait that long.

This model is available to pre-order in either DCC Ready (£244.99) or DCC and Sound Fitted (£299.99) on our website now. No.91150 has proved very popular at the pre-order stage, so don't delay if you want to secure yours ahead of delivery later this year.

We couldn't help but take another look at the impressive WD 2-10-0 sample photos coming out of Ellis Clark Trains ! DCC Ready models are priced at £295, with DCC sound models expected to be £425 or lower, and both are available to pre-order on our website now! Alongside running number 90774 we also have 90773 available to pre-order, both forming part of the Railway Icons range.

We are hoping to have this stunning sample on display in the flesh at the model weekend happening at Locomotion on the 16th and 17th of May, so be sure to pop along to see 90774 in all its glory, alongside some other exciting samples!

You read that correctly, its that time of year again!

We know a lot of you out there have growing trains of the National Railway Museum and Locomotion souvenir wagons, so we are happy to be able to offer the latest in the line-up. This year, we based the wagons on some of our favourite previous releases, with the OO Wagon being based on the popular N-Gauge Gunpowder Van and the N-Gauge offering being based on the well received OO Bulk Grain Hopper. Both are available for just £17.50.
