Blue Phantom Pleco — L128
The Blue Phantom Pleco is a stunning freshwater catfish with beautiful blue-grey colouring and eye-catching markings. A peaceful and fascinating addition to a community aquarium, it’s sure to become a favourite.
Mostly active during the evening and at night, Blue Phantoms enjoy exploring the aquarium and grazing on surfaces. During the day, they appreciate plenty of hiding places such as caves, rocks and driftwood.
They enjoy grazing on algae and natural biofilm but should also be given a varied diet, including good-quality sinking algae wafers and other suitable foods. Driftwood is also a great addition to their aquarium environment.
Growing to around 15–18cm, the Blue Phantom is a manageable-sized pleco for a suitably sized aquarium. They are generally peaceful with other fish, although males can sometimes be territorial towards other plecos.
With its striking colour, peaceful nature and fascinating behaviour, the L128 Blue Phantom Pleco makes a fantastic addition to a well-established freshwater aquarium.
