Last month the Sthree social enterprise embarked on its newest initiative, the opening of its very own production centre. The main objective of the production centre is to provide training and business development advice in order to encourage women and persons with disabilities to contribute towards the growth of the local market and to alleviate economic hardships faced as a result of the ongoing economic crisis in the country.

Following the opening ceremony, a basic training on making detergent soap, led by one of our entrepreneurs, was conducted for those who were in attendance.

Through the production centre we hope to provide basic, intermediate and advance courses on:
- Shoe making
- Detergent soap production
- Sewing
- Candle making
- Soft toys manufacturing
- Food production
- Batik
- Baking/cake decorating
- Gardening
- Upcycled products and so on

During the month of February, we are offering beginners courses on:
• Batik
• Candles
• Ekel Brooms
• Ladies footwear
• Floor Mats
• Detergent
