Quality Life Social Enterprise focused on Activity solutions and gifts for Aged Care, Dementia and Disability And so Quality Life was born.

Quality Life is a New Zealand formed initiative based in the beautiful countryside of the Horowhenua. In early 2013 the husband and wife team, Linda and Eddie Hoogenboom, decided to start an enterprise specialising in recreational and therapeutic activity solutions for the Health and Disability Sectors in New Zealand. Something they are passionate about because of their own experiences. On a perso

nal level, Linda has experienced the reality of loving a brother severely affected by Down’s Syndrome and an elderly father by physical disability. On a professional level she is a qualified Diversional Therapist who has worked in the field of Aged Care since 1995. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and English Literature, a Certificate in Community Work and is a Certified Facilitator of the Spark Of Life Club Program. All these experiences have given Linda important insight into the Health and Disability Sectors and how difficult it is for professionals and families alike to find appropriate activity resources for the people in their care. Activities that are age, ability and culturally appropriate for our unique society. Eddie’s experience has been gained through helping to care for a mother with both Parkinson’s and Dementia, and through volunteer time as a Rotoract member providing activities for the disabled in his community. It is these collective experiences and their own personal Faith that have formed a deep conviction that the elderly, disabled and vulnerable deserve the same opportunities for self actualisation that more able bodied people in our society enjoy so easily. They believe this can be done in a practical way with compassion, dignity and respect. Our vision is that Quality Life will provide a service to both industry professionals and family members and friends who need assistance in meeting the recreational and therapeutic needs of the people they care for. We want to make it easy for you to enrich their lives through appropriate activities. We are dedicated to providing stimulating, affordable, appropriate and innovative activity and therapy solutions. Ones that will help you engage with and inspire the people in your care. We also aim to stay up to date with current industry practices and indeed to look to advancing the quality of life for the people in your care by collaborating with others in developing better solutions for future generations. Most importantly, we are committed to providing excellent, trustworthy and professional service.
