A massive thank you to everyone who ordered from last night’s tuber sale. Honestly, I’m still slightly bewildered that you lot turn up and buy my weird little underground potatoes with such enthusiasm. 😂

There are still a few tubers left for anyone who missed out or suddenly decides they definitely need another dahlia. You probably do 😎

As for me, I currently feel like I’ve been hit by a bus, reversed over, then lightly nudged again for good measure. 🫠 So I’m taking a couple of days to get my s**t back together before the packing starts. So, orders will start heading out from next week.

Thank you, genuinely, for supporting this little feral operation. Every order, share, message and bit of support means I get to keep growing flowers for a living and sharing the love. That’s pretty bloody cool.

Some deliveries are harder than others.

I’m an empath, which is probably a questionable personality trait for someone who occasionally has to knock on the door of a person whose entire world has just been turned upside down.

Sympathy flowers are a strange part of this job. You arrive holding something beautiful, knowing there is absolutely nothing beautiful about the reason you’re there.

Sometimes people cry. Sometimes they tell me who they’ve lost. Sometimes they’re incredibly composed. Sometimes you can just see it on their face.

And then… I get back in my car and drive away, while they somehow have to get up the next morning and figure out how to live in a world that suddenly looks completely different.

I don’t think I’ll ever get good at that part. And maybe I don’t really want to.

Flowers can’t fix grief. They’re not supposed to.

Sometimes they’re just a small, quiet way of saying:

Someone is thinking about you. Someone knows this hurts. You are loved.

Anyway. Hug your people, people 🖤
