So much going on here that my brain has about 50 open tabs and not one thing finished 🫠🤣
🥔Tuber dividing is going awesome. Healthy delicious tubers awaiting their new homes very soon.
💐Shop makeover is nearly done and fingers crossed we will be open sometime next month! 🥳
🐑 Some farm upgrades in the works 😎
Also, this photo might not look like much yet, but the peony patch is waking up 😍 Also pictured: weeds. Because we don’t use herbicides, we (and by we I mean my husband mainly 🤣) use good old hard yakka to pull them out. Turns out said husband has been a bit slack with the weeds lately… or maybe it’s because his wife gives him a zillion other farm things to do because she’s just a tiny little woman who can’t do some of the heavy lifting 🫣🤣🤣 Sorry Ant. Where would I be without you 😘
We also don’t use pesticides here. Funnily enough though, there seems to be a natural balance.
There are ladybugs EVERYWHERE 🐞, bees and butterflies, frogs all over the place 🐸 and a whole bunch of other little creatures all doing their thing. Nature seems to be pretty good at keeping itself in check when you leave enough of it alone.
So yep, there are weeds. The odd nibbled leaf. And the farm will probably never have those perfectly immaculate, bare-earth rows. But it’s alive. It’s humming. It’s feral 😎
Mildly feral, wildly floral. 🌸
