They’ll be back serving up the goods from Saturday 27 December.

Make sure you stop by to sample their brilliant take on upscale food-truck fare - the Reuben is a standout, and the kids can’t go wrong with the ever-popular “Chicken Luggates.”

Meet Esper - we’re thrilled to welcome ceramic artist Esperance Steven and to The Green.

Based in the wild landscapes of Central Otago, Esper works intimately with clay sourced from the land itself. Every piece she creates is fired to high-temperatures so it brings both raw earth and refined form into your home.

Expect to see handmade mugs, vases, sculptures and more - each one telling a story of place, process and pure craft.

Pop in most mornings at The Green, say hi to Esper and pick up something that’s truly rooted in the land.

Resident Spotlight: Pukunui Coffee at The Green

If you’ve spent any time in the region chasing down a truly great coffee, chances are you’ve already met Rach from Pukunui Coffee. A familiar face to many, Rach brings her warmth, passion, and perfectly crafted brews to The Green, creating more than just a coffee stop.

For Rach, coffee is about community and connection - a space where people come together, share stories, and feel part of something. She’s already loving getting to know the locals and embracing the welcoming spirit that’s taking flight here at The Green.

Named after the Pukunui bird, of which there are only 105 left, this little coffee spot is a reminder that a good coffee can be just as rare - but can definitely be found right here.

Rach’s opening hours are still flexible (for now, if the window’s open, she’s open!), and she’ll be serving throughout The Artē Collective Collective’s official opening party this Friday, 4–7pm.

Meet Our Residents: Artē Collective

We’re thrilled to welcome Artē Collective - the artist-led gallery now calling The Green home. This collective brings together six local makers working across painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery and objects.

One of the founding artists will be in the gallery every single day, welcoming visitors, sharing stories, and giving insight into the creative process.

“The strength of this collective lies in our differences. We all work in different mediums, but the connections between our works, whether visual, conceptual or tonal, create a rich and engaging gallery environment.”

Artē Collective are hosting their official opening on Friday, October 10 | 4pm – 7pm
We hope you’ll stop by, meet the artists, and become part of the creative energy they’re bringing to this place.

You may have noticed some action at The Green… the very first doors to open a few weeks back were those of Highway Barbers

Krish has already been welcoming locals into his chair, bringing his craft, care, and conversation to the heart of the village. “It feels awesome to be part of something fresh for the area, and I’m stoked to help create a space that locals have been waiting for.”

Krish may have been the first to open his doors, but he’s now joined by other residents at The Green who are ready to welcome you in. We’ll be sharing more about them over the coming week.

We know you’ve been waiting… and it’s almost here.

The Green, Luggate Village is nearly ready to open its doors as the heart of our community - a place to gather, connect, and thrive.

We’re putting the finishing touches on things, but come early September you’ll be able to grab a coffee, get a fresh cut, and enjoy the start of something special right here in the village. And that’s just the beginning, more offerings will be joining us soon.
