Good evening everyone. Tomorrow, Saturday 7 March, we're getting another lot of Brown Shaver chicks at Paroa Stockfeed. There's 20 spares if you still have a broody hen or have a brooder and you want some. All hens. Cheers Dirk

Good afternoon all.
Hope all is going well so far this year. Just to let you know that we've got another lot of brown shaver chicks 2 days ago. So if you have a broody hen or brooder and want some great laying chickens, come and get them tomorrow (Saturday). Best of all, they're all hens.

Thanks everyone for coming out for another year. It's been fun, hard work, exiting and rewarding at many levels.
Hopefully yas all have a colourful time the next few weeks.
Next week we're open Wednesday 24th.
Closed 25th and 26th.
Open Saturday 27th.

Big shout out to Hamish Croft and James Piner from Croft Transport for getting our shed full again with meadow hay, barley straw and pea straw this afternoon. Last week I was fair panicking with road closures and a public holiday that put extra pressure on transport.

Busy behind the scenes at Paroa Stockfeed to keep you going this spring:

Help, my darling wife and kids don’t believe me anymore when I say this is the last shed, Number 13. But it has to be done as we keep running out of hay and straw before being able to have a backup. And we hate disappointing our customers. It`s taking a bit longer than I wanted with the weather not cooperating and we`re mostly playing with mud. But with help from Colville Hofman Builders and their skilled crew things should be sorted in a week or so.
In the meantime, another load should arrive tomorrow or Thursday.
We`ll keep you posted

We all know that with a minimum of 18% protein and including meat, Weston Free range pellets are the best chicken food on the market. Not only that, but now Paroa Stockfeed can offer it at $36.- for 25kg. Better still, this is not as a special, but for the forseeable future. We`re stoked about it.
