I have a little lady on the way! 💕📚
Many of you know Angelika, who generously spends her time helping out around the bookstore. We are incredibly excited to announce that we are 13 weeks along and expecting a baby girl!

Our bookstore family is growing, and I am already busy figuring out how to fit a nursery section into the stacks.

We’d love for you to celebrate with us—please drop your absolute favorite childhood classics in the comments below so we can start building her ultimate library!

Thank you all for being such a wonderful part of our community and our story. We can't wait to introduce our newest little reader to you next Spring! 🌸✨

Quality of Life Updates!! Our bathroom (my former office. 😆) is now open to customers! It’s still nothing fancy but it’s here now if you need it.

The cooler is finally fixed fixed with a new part that Ian installed to support the store. ❤️ Ty 🥹 Expect cold drinks for the future! Yay!

And finally, we have 3 themed bookmarks at the store available free with purchases! It’s our first round of swag with totes, cups, t-shirts and hats on the way. Show off your local bookstore to your friends and family in style. 🧐👀❤️

Blessed day to you all. 🤗

💍 One ring to rule them all… and two hearts finding their happily ever after! 🧙‍♂️❤️

Some of the most magical stories begin between the pages of a book, but Austin and Eli are writing a love story all their own. 🥹

From book lovers on their first date to an engagement surrounded by the shelves that brought them together, we're beyond honored to have been a little part of their journey.

Congratulations, Austin and Eli! 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️ May your love story be filled with adventure, laughter, and a lifetime of happily ever afters. 📖💕

There's something truly special about watching our regulars find love, and we're so grateful you chose to share this moment with us.

With love from all of us at The Blessed Fig Tree 🌳📚

September Book Giveaway: The front is cleared? Yep! That means new books are being placed out front under the protection of the awning. These books are stuff people should take a look at. 👀 They are still free for September! Stop by and peruse, donation box is in the corner but no pressure on that. Reading is popular lately so I want to fill up some bookshelves. We need room to expand! This will only be for 2 more weeks and people keep grabbing boxes get the good stuff as it comes out. 📚

44 boxes of books given away so far.

Shoutout to the factory workers, loggers, farmers, and their families.

Antigo is a factory town. Nearly 30 small and mid-sized manufacturers, plus the big players like Amron, Volm, and Satori, keep working class jobs in this community. That means growing families live here year round. It means some young folks can hold a job, afford a home, and still have something left for a night out. The men and women on those lines and the businesses they support have been the most stable, most loyal customers my bookstore has. Love you guys. ❤️

The workers are a big part of why we're still here past summer, and we're going to keep building and catering to them. I'm grateful you're here, and I'm glad the factories are growing. As AI guts white collar jobs in other communities, I expect that trend to hold. Towns that make things have a future. I see it in the new hires, the extra shifts, the families moving in.

We're extending our Sunday hours to 6pm so folks on weekday and night shifts have more room to come in. I'm back to about 80 hours a week, and it's a continuing pleasure to watch the guys off a long shift treat their families to a little culture and entertainment here at the store.

If I ever build another business in this town, it will be for them.

Thank you for the long hours and the swing shifts. You bring the wealth into this community. You are some of the best folk.
