Meet Golden Flora, new and improved💃

When I opened this business 3.5 years ago, I didn’t do any branding. I didn’t know what I wanted or how my business would evolve and take shape. I wanted to wait until the dust settled a bit and I had a clearer vision of what this business was… and that happened this summer!

Nouveau Creative | Brand Design & Murals asked me a million questions about Golden Flora and me! Because this business is truly an extension of me. I used words like genuine, warm, passionate and whimsical.

I knew a lot of what I didn’t want- a fine line drawing of a flower and very elegant font😬 That just isn’t me! (Zero shade to every florist that IS that!)

So we went back and forth until we landed on this clematis I took a photo of last year and absolute loved. She also included a RUNNING foxglove, because what is more whimsical than that?🥹

So stay tuned as I slowly transfer everything into this new color palette and branding. Can’t wait!

Bars are perfect places to make a flower statement. It’s a place where all guests will gather at some point in the night and they can appreciate the flowers up close!

Something I’ll never take for granted in this little flower world is the uniqueness of every couple I work with.

I love learning about them by way of flowers and collecting all their flower thoughts and preferences to bring their vision to life. I hope I never go on autopilot and do the same wedding florals over and over!!

Anyways, Emma and Peyton💛 who chose the most unique florals in the summertime and made my florist heart happy! Wishing you two the absolute best💛💛

This might not look like my usual work.

A customer called me this week for a funeral spray for her dad. She was given my info from someone whose funeral I did last month. Right off the bat she told me her mom was requesting something traditional with red roses and she needed reassurance along the way that it would all come together.

We texted throughout the week and I filled her in with my initial color thoughts, progress, and final piece. This arrangement was not about me getting lost in my creative flow or having fun with unique flowers. It was about making it just right for their family and honoring a beloved dad.

In moments of grief, the best thing I can offer is reassurance, ease, and “I’ve got this handled.”
