Bellingham Wind Works

Bellingham Wind Works We are open Tuesday through Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-4. Musical instrument repairs, rentals, and retail. See you soon!

Formerly known as the Repair Shoppe, we have a history in Bellingham and the surrounding region of high-quality musical instrument repair work. We regularly receive and repair instruments from all over the country, specializing in double reeds and saxes. With four wind repair technicians and two guitar and percussion techs, we started with a focus mainly on wind instruments, but have expanded to i

nclude expert guitar repair and basic percussion and orchestral strings. Home to Ed DeVaney and Dave Payne of Guitar Doctor USA, we have a good reputation for quick turnarounds and friendly, knowledgeable service. In December 2012, we expanded beyond wind repair to include band and other wind accessories, including professional level reeds and mouthpieces, as well as a full array of wind and band player needs, including percussion. Our goal is to offer Whatcom County services that aren't being fully met. With the closing of several music stores lately, we have noticed that few shops carry the level of wind accessories we know wind musicians need. We carry all of the common band instruments as well as uncommon and hard to find rental instruments from beginner to professional level. We have oboes, bass clarinets, bari saxes, baritones and tubas, as well as being one of about five shops in the USA that rents english horns. We would love to see you and your instrument, and we will take good care of you both.

This is a way for you to speak up and be heard! We don’t want to charge more for brass instruments, and you don’t want to pay more for them! Let’s make our voices heard!

Brass instruments are in trouble and need your help!

There is currently a proposed 25% additional tariff on ALL brass-wind instruments along with parts and accessories. This includes trumpets, trombones, french horns, euphoniums, tubas and sousaphones as well as accessories for all band instruments. These tariffs would be in addition to any current tariffs or fees and would affect instruments coming from any country.

What do your pets do when you play? One of my old cats used to put her paw over my mouth when I sang.
