Because no matter how old I get, I love some statement-making school supplies… this guitar case is just begging for stickers and who isn’t on the struggle bus at some point?! 😂 We are closed today and will be open tomorrow and Thursday 11ish-4ish.

Want to hear something cool? (If you know Lori, you know she loves a good story, a mystery to solve and history!) When Mischief opened 3 years ago, we were honored to be the next stewards of the magnificent stained glass backdrop. We were told that it was believed to have been installed when the Yost family opened the Fairfax Diner in 1936, and now we think it may have been even earlier! Someone recently dropped off a copy of an advertisement from the Morgan Messenger showing the front of the shop. It was owned by Virgil Ruppenthal (1899-1969) who operated a CONFECTIONERY and soda fountain/diner here from 1931-1935! But the connection doesn’t end there (and we’re still digging!)… Virgil was the son of Henry Martin (1866-1944) and Ida America Iden Ruppenthal… who built the Victorian house where Inspired Chaos is located and Lori lives (1900-1901)! 🤓🫢

When the power went out yesterday afternoon there could have been worse places to be than a shop full of sweets, but at least we have this book on the shelf, you know, just in case…😅 Lights are back on this morning and the tunes are hopping! Open until 5ish today and 10ish -3ish on Sunday!
