Tomorrow we are back at the Capital City Public Market on the Grove. The holiday market hours start tomorrow. We are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Koa wood in Colorado? Yup. We found a lumber store out of Denver while in Colorado last month that had a pallet load of koa wood. I had just enough room in my suitcase for a few pieces. Here’s the first turning. It’s the smallest piece. 5” by 2”.

This is a first for me. The vase is made from a Concord grape rootball/stem. It is 5” by 8”. The base is yellowheart.

Saturday the 22nd we are back at the Capital City Public market. It looks like the weather is cooling off a little from this week. Here’s a new bowl I’ll have. It’s a piece of palm tree from Hawaii with a walnut rim. 10” by 6”.

Here is a new walnut bowl. 9” by 3”. We plan to be back at the Capital City Public Market next Saturday.

In the past I’ve said that if I had a signature bowl it would probably be the purple poke a dots. So here’s my newest one ash and purpleheart. 12” by 5”.

And, to carry forth the signature bowl theme we will have a purple poke a dot bowl display at this Saturday’s Capital City Public Market.
