Sometimes a session makes you remember why you started, what makes your heart sing and what it is that keeps you going. For me it has always been newborns. Most of my career has been spent attending newborn photography workshops from Minnesota to Rhoda Island, New Mexico, Tennessee and everywhere in between. I have been mentored by many great professionals who have taught patience and the importance of safety first.

This sweet little guy didn't want to really "settle." You can plan as much as you want but these sessions are completely led by the baby. I never force a pose or do anything the baby does not want to do. My newborn sessions are more guided rather than posed. We wrap and put baby in place and then go with the flow.

A newborn photography session is one of the few types of sessions that you only get a chance to do once. Within a couple weeks, these sweet babies have changed so much you really do forget how itty bitty they were.
