WHY ARE MORE RESCUE TEAMS MOVING TO 11MM?

For decades, 1/2" rope was the standard for many rescue teams. But rope technology has evolved, and more agencies are recognizing that bigger doesn't necessarily mean better.

Modern 11mm rescue ropes can offer some significant advantages:

• Less weight to carry: especially noticeable with 200', 300' and longer rope systems.

• Smaller pack size: more rope in the same bag and less equipment taking up valuable compartment space.

• Easier handling: a smaller diameter can make rope management, knot tying and general rigging more efficient.

• Lower cost: agencies can potentially reduce the cost of outfitting and replacing rope inventories without sacrificing performance.

• Serious strength: today's high-performance 11mm ropes can deliver strength ratings traditionally associated with much larger ropes.

There are moments in business that mean more than a new product or a milestone.

Today is one of those days.

I'm incredibly proud to share that Omega Pacific's in-house production has officially begun.

To many, this may just look like another manufacturing announcement. To me, it's something I've dreamed about for years.

The very first carabiner I ever owned was an Omega Pacific. Long before I ever imagined being part of this company, I admired what the Omega name represented: quality, innovation, and American manufacturing.

Growing up just outside of Pittsburgh, I also saw firsthand what manufacturing meant to our communities. Steel and aluminum built this region, supported countless families, and created opportunities for generations. Like many others, I've always believed that America still has the ability to build world class products right here at home.

Today, we're taking another step toward that vision.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to protect.

While many of us are enjoying time with family, firing up the grill, or watching fireworks, thousands of military personnel, firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and healthcare workers are spending the holiday on duty, ready to answer the call whenever they're needed.

To those standing the watch today: thank you. Your commitment, sacrifice, and willingness to serve do not go unnoticed.
