For Chris, he’s adamant about keeping the pastures looking their best. And spending hours upon hours mowing, I’m beginning to think he just does that to avoid me adding to the things to do list. 😂

🥖🦙 What a morning!

Today we mixed, learned, laughed, and baked our way through our very first Sourdough & Alpaca Class! From feeding alpacas and meeting Wednesday the llama to learning the secrets of a great loaf of sourdough, it was the perfect blend of farm life and fresh bread.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to Allison for sharing her sourdough knowledge. We loved seeing everyone leave with a starter, a loaf ready to bake, and a few new alpaca friends.

Who knew sourdough and alpacas made such a perfect pair? ❤️

One of the parts of alpaca farming I’m not in love with is saying goodbye.

Today, we took Penny—our very first cria born right here on our farm—to her new home at . While it’s bittersweet to watch her leave, we couldn’t be happier with where she’s headed.

Three years ago, we attended our very first Alpaca 101 class at Carolina Sunshine. Today, we delivered one of our own alpacas there. I’d say that’s a pretty full-circle moment.

Penny has been such a special part of our journey from the very beginning, and we’re so excited to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish in her new herd. Wishing her and her new family many years of success together. ❤️🦙
