To compete with their purchase of EMD SD70ACe units, MRL also acquired several AC4400CW units. The road’s first GE power, they helped move tonnage through Bozeman Pass and across Montana and Idaho. *

*MRL was not known to operate any GE units during its existence, but in this alternate reality, they elected to purchase some- perhaps due to BNSF’s influence.

It's Athearn week here at Midwest Model Railroad.

Jim from Athearn will be in the building this Thursday June 18th. There will be an in store meet and greet at 3:30pm central time, and at 5:30 there will be an Athearn Extra livestream which will be broadcast live on the Athearn website.

The first 50 customers in store will be receiving a swag bag from Athearn complete with a free rolling stock item.

After the livestream stick around to run on our in store layouts!
