Very nice vintage 1979 Fender jumbo FJ-70 sunburst on the bench for some much needed cleaning and action adjustments.
Was able to half the action and make the neck play in tune all the way up. Similar to Gibsons Southern jumbo model, except this one has a nice beefy V-shaped neck It's singing sweet and playing easy now with D'Addario and Company 11 gauge phosphor bronze strings.

Really nice Yamaha bass in for setup and some tweaks to accommodate heavier gauge strings. The client was tuning it in BEAD and using the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th strings from a 5 string set so the nut slots needed to be widened and the bridge holes needed to be enlarged. As always cleaned the fretboard and polished the frets up; adjusted the truss rod & tweaked the intonation and it was good to go!

Today we have a Martin D-15 on the bench for some much needed feexins for my boy of fame. This one was cracking and splitting and doing all kinds of stuffs. Lots of glue and love later and it's a sound box again viola!
