SAVE THE DATE: “Racket on the Rails” and “Racket at the Boneyard” are coming back this September (9/25 and 9/26)! If you are a record vendor, vintage clothing vendor, or a vendor of handcrafted goods and you’re interested in getting more details, send us a DM! We had about 40 vendors last year and ~1,000 in attendance, and we’re hoping to double those numbers this year! Registrations will open up sometime in July, but for now we’re compiling our list of vendors and partners, so hit us up or pass this along to any friends who you think might be interested!

Well, it was bound to happen eventually. Here’s my take on AI and why Yellow Racket will never use it as a substitute for human creativity. Would I use it to improve code for my website or find other use cases that make menial, technical jobs easier? I’m open to it.

But AI art is not actually art (by definition), and using it to create advertisements as a replacement for real human creativity goes against our deepest convictions.

If we weren’t trying to have a good time down at the tomorrow morning, then I would heartily welcome it. But we’re gonna be out there tomorrow morning spinning records and putting on live music (rain or shine), so if you feel like dancing in puddles with us, come on down!
