This is the first in a new series we’re calling “Racket After Hours,” an array of covers performed by record store employees and Yellow Racket musicians in Chattanooga, TN.

Abe and I recorded this on a recent Tuesday morning before opening the shop. We were the only two employees when the store opened back in 2020, so it seemed fitting for us to go back to the original duo for this first cover. And The Innocence Mission is one of those bands we listened to a lot in the early days - a mutual favorite (among many other artists) who we bonded over.

“Brotherhood of Man”
Written by Karen Peris
Originally released by the innocence mission on the album, We Walked in Song (2007)
This performance by Abe Houck (Abe Houck, Timestamp) and Ben VanderHart (Ben VanderHart, Telemonster, Dog Monologue)
Recorded at Yellow Racket Records in Chattanooga, TN
Engineered and mixed by Ben VanderHart
Video by Kelly Lacy, Make Beautiful Co.
