Some mornings remind you how far a dream can travel.

Zerno started as a basement passion project in Chicago, the city where we still hand-assemble every grinder we make.

This week, our founder Vel stood on the dais at the Nasdaq in New York City, ringing the opening bell alongside a cohort of Chicago’s leading innovators as our logo lit up the screen outside the building.

It was an unforgettable moment for the Zerno team, and none of it could have happened without the extraordinary community of coffee lovers who trust us with their mornings.

That's how Keith Lilja ( ), head roaster at Chicagoland’s own sters, describes his approach to specialty coffee, and it's one we admire. So we're teaming up on a limited series built on the same idea: inviting more people into specialty coffee. We’ll be featuring specific Tala coffees, along with brew guides and recommended Zerno grinder settings to get the most out of each cup. First one lands next week, here and on the Zerno blog.
