Two years.
That’s how long I waited for this beauty to decide she was ready to make an appearance.
This is Cattleya Femme Fatale, and like many of the best things in life, she refused to be rushed. For two years, I watered, fed, repotted, watched new growth emerge, and wondered if this would finally be the season. Then one morning, there it was: a bud. Then another. And now this spectacular bloom.
Orchids have a way of teaching patience. They don't care about our schedules, deadlines, or expectations. They bloom when they're ready.
There’s a particular kind of satisfaction that comes from waiting for something rather than buying it instantly. The reward isn't just the flower. It's every day of care, every small act of faith, and every moment spent believing that something beautiful was happening even when there was nothing to see.
Sometimes the most extraordinary rewards are the ones that take their sweet time.
🌸 Cattleya Femme Fatale was worth every day of the wait.
