Are you ready for the revolution? Oberlin Conservatory professor of baroque violin Edwin Huizinga brings you an enchanting evening of string music, providing a taste of classical greats like Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven mixed with invigorating folk tunes. This performance is part of the Classical Revolution movement that aims to break down barriers to enjoying classical music and bring the music directly to the community. Rounding out the quartet of Oberlin talent is professor Rebecca Landell and master’s students Aaron and Boaz Mecham. This evening of stunning melodies brought to you by multiple generations of Oberlin-educated greats leading the way into the future of classical music is sure to leave you tapping your toes and humming along to a chamber performance like never before.

How does a novel change when it is adapted for the screen? What are the merits of each medium? Visible Voice Books invites you to the next meeting of our new Movie vs. Book Club, where we’ll discuss these very questions.

Join your host, Isaac, to discuss “Die My Love” by Ariana Harwicz and its 2025 film adaptation, an American psychological drama directed by Lynne Ramsay. We encourage you to purchase the novel from us and watch the movie before the meeting (available for streaming on various platforms).

The next book for the October meeting will be Hellraiser (originally published in book form as “The Hellbound Heart”) by Clive Barker.
