OAR IS CLOSING ITS DOORS FOR GOOD - Last Day Will Be Saturday June 27

When you run your own small business, you spend a lot of time doing whatever you can to build it up. You don't spend as much time thinking about when the right time is to shut it all down.

Recently that question has been answered FOR us. Personally, professionally, even politically, this is the right time to shut OAR down. It's time to retire from OAR, and move on to different and new adventures.

Words cannot express our gratitude to everyone who embraced OAR over the years. Your support hasn't just mean a lot. It has meant everything to us.

A few housekeeping issues:

1. We don't have much on consignment right now, but we'll make calls next week to arrange pickup of gear

2. If you have a store credit, please use it up before June 27

3. Almost everything in the store will be discounted 50% between now and June 27. Stop by and check it all out before it's gone.

Couple of families of adults and goose chicks came out of the bushes in one long line of cuteness.

We quietly followed them (from a safe distance) for about 15 minutes. Babies never made a sound, moms never veered from the straight line. Even a "sweep" in back in case any of the babies slowed down. VERY cool! VERY cute!

Went out on the water for the first time this season over the weekend. Down at Shirleys Pond - gorgeous day. Plenty of bird sightings and a herd of 10 deer along the shore who disappeared into the bushes before I could get a picture. Great morning!

Highway is open but be ready for anything! Safe travels and enjoy the trip!

The Beartooth Highway (US-212) from Red Lodge to Cooke City, Montana, is now open for the season!

Once open, temporary travel restrictions or closures can occur at any time without notice. Prepare for winter driving conditions, have flexible travel plans, and watch for quickly changing weather conditions.
