It was a VERY special week at the shop! After a 2+ year wait, our great friend Todd’s dream kit arrived! Take a look at this incredible Yamaha PHX kit! Hand-built in Japan by ONE person from start to finish…well worth the wait. It’s always so special when we get to be apart of a moment like this for our amazing customers. Thank you and congrats to Todd! Now we wait another 2 years for the add on floor tom!

We’re excited to welcome another local pedal builder to the Sims Music family!

Introducing Optic Tone Lab, hand-built by our new friend, Jonathan, right here in Cayce, SC. What started as a hobby building pedal clones quickly turned into a passion for soldering, circuit design, troubleshooting, and chasing the perfect tone. That passion is evident in every pedal he builds.

Each Optic Tone Lab pedal is carefully hand-assembled using quality components, clean workmanship, and a focus on delivering great sound at an honest price. Jonathan also offers custom builds, making it possible to bring unique ideas and hard-to-find sounds to life.

We’re proud to support local builders and are excited to have Optic Tone Lab pedals available now at Sims Music. Stop by, meet the pedals behind the builder, and hear what all the buzz (or fuzz) is about! The lineup is now available on our site as well!
