1781 Vermont Colonial 20 Shillings £1 Fr VT-6 PMG 30 VF
An exceptionally scarce example from Vermont’s historic February 1781 paper money issue. Denominated **20 Shillings, or One Pound**, the note was printed by Judah P. Spooner and Timothy Green III on the notoriously thin paper characteristic of Vermont currency, contributing greatly to the rarity of surviving intact examples today.
Only 3,600 examples of the 20 Shillings denomination were originally issued, and surviving specimens are seldom encountered. An impressive example of one of the most elusive state-issued notes of the Revolutionary era and an important piece for an advanced Colonial currency collection.
