We’re all set up at the Des Moines Music Collectors’ Show in Johnston. We brought our *entire* new vinyl section along with us, which includes all the new restocks that came in Thursday or Friday. {Pro tip: buy your records from us at any off-site event & save a little bit because we cover the cost of the 7% sales tax!}

Admission is $3 from 10am to 4pm. There are a bunch of brand new dealers today, so this should be a great show. Come join us at the Stoney Creek Hotel in Johnston!

The annual Ingersoll Live street festival kicks off in just a few hours, and we'll have a small booth there for the very first time! If you're coming down for this event, be sure to swing by and say "hi". We'll be just west of 28th Street -- I believe on the north side of the street near J. Michaels Salon.

We're going to be selling some cheap LPs, CDs, tapes, and buttons today... most of which will NOT be at the record show in Johnston tomorrow. Our booth will be open from approximately 3 to sunset (8:00-ish). And good news: it looks like the rain will be gone soon and the weather should be fantastic. See you there!

We're heading out this weekend for two shows in Iowa.

Saturday, August 29th has our totally worth the drive, whether 5 minutes or 12 hours, The Record Show at Encore Hall, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Sioux City - Noon to 5 PM - Free Admission.

Sunday, August 30th we'll be vendors just outside the capital city of Iowa. The Des Moines Music Collector's Show is at the Stoney Creek Hotel, Johnston, - 10 AM to 4 PM - Admission $3

Attention Queens of the Stone Age fans! The band just announced that their new album, "Perfecth", will be released on Friday, October 30th. Zzz will have copies of the CD for $13.59, the standard vinyl for $24.09, and a special indie store-only LP (transparent color) for $27.10. Their last album in 2023 was a pretty hot item, so if you're interested, I would strongly suggest getting your pre-order in sooner than later (especially if you want the special LP version). Sometimes people ask us if we buy movies, and the answer is no. It’s simply a space issue; we barely have room for all of our records, tapes & CDs!

However, when you’re in the habit of buying estates, like we often do, you do tend to pick up DVDs and VHS tapes occasionally. We have a bunch that have been building up in storage and we’ll be bringing a lot of these to the Des Moines Music Collectors’ Show on August 30th. And they will be priced to move!

We’ll be bringing a lot of vinyl & CDs, too, but we’ll discuss that more towards the end of the week.

I was getting ready to write a post this morning about how we’re overhauling the used CD section with a huge restock… but then I came across this box of tapes last night. These are going out for the 10am bell today!
