ANNOUNCING OUR LAST TWO BLUEBIRD BOOK CIRCLES FOR 2026! We’ve been thrilled with how wonderful these events have been and nearly every one has been sold out! THANK YOU! The Book Circles are held throughout the year for people with full plates and busy lives. There’s no ongoing commitment, no pressure to “join a club,” and no expectations beyond curiosity.

OCTOBER 20 | 6-8 PM
THE TEARS OF THINGS by Richard Rohr
We will start adding in nonfiction options going forward and the first one is focused on spiritual and personal growth. We are excited to partner with the First Christian Church of Edmond for this gathering with the discussion facilitated by Senior Pastor Chris Shorow. Written in a warm, pastoral voice that has endeared Rohr to millions, The Tears of Things breathes new life into ancient wisdom. It paves a path of enlightenment for anyone seeking a compassionate way of living in a hurting world. 50% of the ticket price will be donated to Edmond Mobile Meals.

Pick up a “Reading Buddy” when you find any children’s books for your child to read to! We’re so excited about our new stock of plush toys! A stuffed animal reading buddy gives a child a safe, nonjudgmental listener, helping them feel more comfortable and confident reading aloud. It can also make reading more playful, comforting, and enjoyable, helping build a positive relationship with books.

Few have championed reading and the simple, life-changing value of putting books in the hands of children more than Dolly Parton.

Our hearts are broken with the news of her passing. Dolly understood something we at Bluebird Books hold especially dear: a book can open a door, spark a dream, build confidence, and change the course of a child’s life. Through her extraordinary commitment to literacy, she made sure millions of children could experience the joy of having a book of their very own.

May we honor her legacy by being even more committed to continuing that good, good work in our homes, our schools, and our communities. May we read to our children, fill their shelves, encourage their curiosity, and never underestimate what can begin when we place the right book in a child’s hands.

Thank you, Dolly, for lighting the way for generations of readers, for believing so deeply in the potential of every child, and for reminding us all of the magic found between the pages of a book.

We’ll keep passing that magic along. 🦋🩵

Join us for our upcoming Bluebird Book Circle events, a gathering that’s a little different from your traditional book club. Each Book Circle is a curated shared reading experience designed for meaningful conversation and connection.

Because we want everyone to truly sit in the circle and participate, tickets are limited to the first 30 people. TICKET LINK is in the comments.

Each gathering includes a light meal, and we kindly ask guests to BYOB with a lid to help avoid spills.
