Artist Spotlight: Pizzicato Five 
 
DJ Don Miller presents the music of Pizzicato Five! All vinyl, 1-3pm.  
 
Pizzicato Five (active 1984–2001) mixed and sampled 1960s pop, jazz, and bossa nova into a unique sound that defined the Shibuya-Kei vibe in the 1990s. They were best known as a duo, composer Konishi Yasuharu and singer Maki Nomiya. In the US they released records on Matador. 
 
Don has been listening to and collecting Pizzicato Five music for over 30 years. He’ll be bringing a collection of singles, albums, promos, and rarities from across Pizzicato Five’s long career.
