GNM does pick these us for scrap iron, but please don't put in your bin or dumpster!

It’s about that time of year to check your water heater and make sure it’s ready for the cold weather to blow in. But, in the case it isn’t up to s***f, please DON’T toss it in the recycling bin! 🤯

Instead, take it to a drop-off location that accepts appliances for recycling. You can use the BINfluencers' What-Goes-Where search tool on their website to find an option near you!

Door hardware and other metal items like this are not accepted by Millennium Recycling.

Talk about locking up our machines! This door lock got jammed in between some parts and forced us to shut down the plant to retrieve it. 🔒💥

We’re not quite sure how it found its way into the recycling, but we’d like to extend a notice to everyone to help us out and make sure nonrecyclable objects like this door lock don’t sneak into the bin.

The ONLY metal that should go in your recycling bin are metal cans/tins and aluminum foils. Take all other scrap metal—like car parts, license plates, silverware, and other bulky metals—to a drop-off site.
You can use the What-Goes-Where search tool on the BINfluencer website to find a local scrap metal recycling location near you!
It may not have answers to everything... If you're still unsure, just ask us!
