You are cordially invited to participate in a unique musical celebration honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States of America!

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, piccolo players from across the Midwest and beyond will gather to perform John Philip Sousa’s beloved march, “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” in a historic ensemble of 250 piccolos in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

We are seeking current and former students, professional musicians, community musicians, marching band alumni, military musicians, music educators, and anyone who enjoys playing the piccolo to join us for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Event: 250 Piccolos for America’s 250th Birthday
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Piccolo Rehearsal: 1:30 pm
Rehearsal with Wheaton Municipal Band: 2:30
Performance Time: 7:30 pm
Featured Work: The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa
Goal: An ensemble of 250 piccolo players celebrating 250 years of American history

Please note - This concert is FREE for all to attend

Music - the President's Own Marine Band edition

Shirts will be picked up directly after rehearsal
