Our Libro.fm Audiobooks Banned Books Read-In is going down as a success!! Much love to our staff for their help getting this together and for getting the word out AND even more love for Oliver for making such beautiful artwork for our event!! Stop in and check it out!! We will be proudly displaying their work in our store.

So what did we learn tonight?? We learned that AI is awful. Schools are banning books at an alarming rate. The adult American attention span is 47 seconds. We also learned my old family recipe for na**lm. The key to great na**lm is the saw dust. That’s what makes it stick to tanks, cop cars, and/or fascists. We learned that Winston gave in, Guy became the man he never thought he’d be, and that Wilbur loved Charlotte. We learned that you can take just about any narrative and shape it to say what you want it to say as long as context has been obliterated. We learned that most of our inventory is considered banned when it comes down to it. We learned that another go at a Slam Poetry night may be in the cards. Lastly, we learned that people care. We learned that people will come out and support real when they see it. We earned that our programming at Moore Books is onto something. The people WANT engagement and we shall engage.

If you came out and joined us, thank you. No, seriously, thank you. It’s nice having a room full of friends, neighbors, and new faces. We’re going to keep having engaging events and we’re gonna get a few more of you each time ☺️

What a great night!! Thanks again!! And read Moore Banned Books!!

Our pal eerie von has a new book coming out, Misery Perfectum!! It’s taken a lot of hard work to get this going and we’re so excited for Eerie!! We even tried to help him find a publisher (to no avail 😞). But here we are, publisher secured and preorder launched!! These WILL sell out so don’t wait around!!

Eerie Von, photographer for the legendary Misfits, bass player for gothic rock legends Samhain, and bass player in gothic metal band Danzig, Eerie has had an inside view to all the Horror Business since the late 70s. This book is full of never before seen photographs from his time with all three legendary horror bands.

We’re super excited that this book is coming to press and would absolutely LOVE having Eerie in for an author event!!

The first step is selling out this preorder of 1,000. You’re not going to want to miss this one if you’re a true Fiend 🎃Shipping date is December, so it will make an amazing holiday gift for that punk rocker in your family!!

We will post the direct link in our story!!
