Welcome to a farm/ranch operation - when plans change mid way through the day. I was checking cows with the dogs and Jordan calls to ask me to bring payloader asap. I had to leave gator and dogs in a hay field. Hopefully they will still be there when I get back, maybe in an hour or four 😂😬.

Sunday afternoon a strong storm came through North Dakota. We were in town for an Awards Ceremony for Hettinger Youth Rodeo Series and watched the wild show, tin was ripped off buildings and trees and branches went flying. Monday morning Jordan and Kyle took the telehandler and a hay trailer to town to help clean up. It was a full day but they got a lot of trees removed from multiple locations. Lot of people showed up for the community, love small town kindness.

Happy birthday to Jordan! He has golfed for almost 12 hours and had a great celebration. 39 years young and still loving life.

Hauling hay off the fields. We have good equipment to make this job go fairly quickly. Definitely helps having Jordan in the pay loader gathering bales as we haul home and unload ourselves.

Longer video of moving equipment. If the move is short we leave the headers on but this was a 20 mile move so we pulled the headers down. It took 2 trips to get everything down to the fields but it went smoothly. Getting close to completion of canola. The crop is pretty poor due the excessive heat and little moisture we had this summer.

Cows knocked down an electric fence gate and got on the wrong side of the fence. They went to water but due to the hot electric fence couldn’t get in. We sat there for quite a while watching them drink so nothing got hurt fighting for water. Cows pushed one calf in the tank but due to the boards we use to keep livestock out he couldn’t get back out. We worked on it for a while and finally gave up and went home and got a screw gun to take down boards. All is good but it could have been bad if we waited about day to check them.
