Do you struggle to align your laser cut layers and backers?

If your layers or backer are the same shape follow this easy trick:

📐 Use your cut sheet from the thickest material as your makeshift jig

🧩 Place the thinnest layer inside the cut-out

📏 Line-up the next layer with the edges of the jig and press down to adhere your layers together

Less guess work, faster assembly, and consistently aligned layers!

FALL LEAVES COASTER SET

We laser cut a set of Fall coasters perfect for your pumpkin spice latte.

The coasters were cut with our CO2 laser out of 1/8” matte cast acrylic sheets with DualTite double-sided adhesive on the back.

Each coaster was then backed with our laserable MakerSuede sheets to help add extra grip to the bottom and a unique knockout effect.

TRILAYER TO QUADLAYER ACRYLIC HACK

I created this vintage Halloween hissing cat emblem out of our 1/16” TriLayer Orange/Black/Green acrylic sheet.

The scrap sheet was a bit warped so the initial engrave failed and showed some white.

I decided to see if I could use this to my advantage and make the teeth engrave white instead of paintfill.

So instead of 3 colors I ended up with 4!

I will be doing some tinkering on the other styles to see if I can provide more precise instructions to replicate this effect.

Project Assembly

A 6 hour assembly job in under 6 seconds! We had a great time working with Bail | Laser Maker & Educator and Ivy Kids of Harvest Green to make this sign a reality.

We were able to get it cut, assembled, and mounted all in time for their grand opening!
