This Saturday, September 5th, the De Petra studio is open from 12–4 PM — and we'd love for you to wander in. Every piece is one of a kind, shaped and finished by hand by Lorena Medinilla right here in Houston, which means what you fall for exists nowhere else in the world.

The Cosmic Eye Brooch is on depetra.com — $450.
Lorena has been building this piece for 18 years. Not this exact piece — her mastery of it. Every version is one of a kind. This one has a baroque pearl, a pavé crystal ball, a sterling bird charm, silk tassels in indigo, and an iridescent leather center that shifts from magenta to amber depending on the light.
It has lived in Anthropologie. In Free People. At the MFA Houston.
