Lets clear some stuff up about Suppressors and SBR's.
A lot of irresponsible information floating around regarding the new ATF policy enforcement.
THE NFA IS NOT DEAD. Far from it.
As a consumer you need to understand what the policy means and how it's applied in practice instead of as a sales tactic.
27 "Free" states. Meaning states that rely and refer to government guidance when it comes to enforcements of NFA items. No state penal code that regulates NFA items.
15 "Almost Free" States. Meaning they have specific additional states penal codes regarding NFA items. Most rely on the NFA (Form 4 Registry). Federal does not supersede states.
(SBR's still requires a form 20 before traveling) no matter if travel is to free state or not.
So please understand as a customer what all applies and weather you do a 4473 or form 4 and how it effects you. Also understand that once a NFA registration eligible item has its form 3 removed from the last know Dealer/Distributor NFRTR inventory list, under this new policy enforcement the item is no longer eligible for a form 4. This move and action is permanent.
Rules and how they are enforced is the only change, we need to make this permanent through congress. The ATF even explicitly states that this is can be rolled back by a new administration. There is no automatic grandfathering, no amnesty and no guarantees that one day prosecution may not follow.
Information and education is key with us.
So please come on by if you're wanting to do a 4473 or form 4. We respect either option and lets make this permanent through action.
