Having my son with me everywhere I go truly brings so much joy to areas of my life that were otherwise uninspired. Outings to the post office or grocery store have become an enriched experience where people flock to us wanting to know his name and age.

Having my little sidekick in the shop with me is where I really see his magic at work. He’s already so comfortable and confident interacting with customers, putting on shows with his little piano chair & winning every staring contest he enters. His demeanor is already so enchanting at 7 months old and it’s a complete wonder for a new mom to witness.

Continuing to watch him bloom in the safety of the shop where he is able to interact with hundreds of happy people every week, this is my new favorite thing to witness.

Feeling very blessed on the island of Key West.

I started selling antiques when I was 22. While I worked at an interior design firm full time during the week, I devoted every weekend to my small but growing business. My humble beginnings included vending at the PhilaFleaMarkets & selling on EBay. If you’ve ever set up & worked a market, you know how exhausting and sometimes defeating that can be, especially when you’re taking no days off.

Having my Mom by my side every step of the way certainly made things sweeter. She was always my biggest cheerleader and enjoyed the highs and lows of doing shows just as much as I did.

Although I knew interior design was a more practical career, sourcing and selling antiques is what truly made me happy. My younger self would be so proud, but not at all surprised. She would take one look at my life today and say “EXACTLY.”

So, do what you love. You will work your ass off, but you’ll be doing what you love ♥️
