Big news from Brickscape. A group of wonderful families in our community has come forward wanting to keep Brickscape going as a nonprofit, and we could not be more grateful. As planned, Brickscape will close next month, but if this group reaches its goals, the cafe will continue beyond that under their care. They're looking for volunteers and fundraiser support to make it happen, so if this cafe has meant something to you, now's the time to jump in. Details on how to help are in the post below.
Save Brickscape Cafe: A Community Campaign
Longmont's own Brickscape Cafe is more than a toyshop, cafe, or makerspace—it’s a beloved community hub for play, connection, camps, homeschool groups, neurodiverse families, foster families, adults with developmental disabilities, elders, and more.
When Brickscape's owner Billie recently announced that the cafe would be closing, a few of us local parents independently had the same gut reaction: what can we do to help?!
Together, we’re organizing a community campaign to help keep Brickscape open and give it the chance to grow into a sustainable, mission-driven community resource.
That chance is only possible with your help.
Our first goal is to raise $15,000 to help cover operating costs during the transition into a non-profit beginning November 1. Beyond money, we’ll also need volunteers, partners, fundraisers, and people with creative ideas.
❤️ Donate if you can.
❤️ Help us imagine what Brickscape could become.
