I have been a fan of James Ensor (1860-1949) and his macabre art. I consider him as one the first anti-establishment artists. One might say he was punk before punk became a sensation. By reimagining his works I try to envision how he would use the brilliant color palet we have today. I hope you enjoy my efforts & thanks for looking.

Preparing my jacket art for the upcoming Eclectic Market Sept. 27 at Great River Brewery and I came across this review I had written about the IMPRESARIO Suzon Robbins of the Eclectic Market and thought I would share it again with you on EM's 4th Anniversary.
What makes Suzon Robbins’ Eclectic Market such a fun event that
people want to go back every month just to see what’s new and be
part of The Happening. The Eclectic Market is held on the last
Sunday of every month from 12-4PM at the Great River Brewery.
The ambiance at the Brewery is so welcoming and OMG the pizza
is soo good and the staff is friendly and very efficient! The DJ Ramiro the Haj keeps the music coming and honestly the overall vib is friendly and inviting. The vendors change every month so there’s always something new to see. I always look forward to the Sundays that I’m a vendor and have a chance to show people my original art. The Eclectic Market is the brain child of Suzon Robbins who has succeded in making The Eclectic Market the place to be on the last Sunday of the month.
Sit outside and have a brew or stroll liesurely inside and feel free
to ask vendors questions about their displays .

Looking forward to the 60th Birthday Party of the Art Center of Burlington on Sept. 19th. The ACB is the host and home of the yearly Snake Alley Art Fair.

Hi, I just finished hand painting a denim jacket that I'll be bringing to Rock Island Sunday 12-5 at the Skeleton Key Art and Antiques Artist Market @ 520 18th St. Rock Island. My painted jackets feature comic book covers (Action & Romance) from the 1950's. All jackets are hand drawn, painted and lettered and one of a kind art. This is my latest Medusa creation done on a 6"x6" canvas frame with acrylic paint & lots of brush work. I did Greek keys all the way around with a fluorescent paint. She seems right at home on my book shelf.

Getting ready for one of the biggest events of the year in Davenport, IA, the BIX, not as a runner but as a participant in the after Bix party. Suzon Robbins is the legendary organizer who is going to make this inaugural event a success. Motor Row comes alive at 9am and goes to 4pm. I'll be there showcasing my colorful painted jackets (painted by me not AI) featuring romance comics from the 1950's. Come on down and spend the day, see you there!
