In this review, Sasha Matson of Stereophile magazine reviews the Moon by Simaudio 371 Streaming DAC Integrated Amplifier. https://tinyurl.com/54babbzk The 371 offers built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi streaming. It can process up to 32/384 PCM and DSD 256 from streaming companies. It sports both MM and MC phono stage. It produces 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The 371'a amplifier uses MDCA, which stands for "MOON Distortion-Canceling Amplifier." It offers remarkably low distortion - total harmonic distortion @ 100W: 0.003%. Intermodulation distortion: 0.005%. The power supply is a MOON Hybrid Power that brings together the strengths of both switch-mode and linear technologies. The MOON by 371 Network Player/Integrated Amplifier is a standout. In this review by Muse Kastanovich of the Absolute Sound, he listened to the AudioQuest Lone Ranger speaker cables and also its Black Beauty analog interconnects. https://tinyurl.com/4eu7yhkf The technology deployed in these cable is designed to eliminate the electrostatic field between the main conductors of the cables. The solid PSC+ (Perfect Surface Copper) conductors forego the typical stranding that standard cables use in favor of a large monofilament design. This eliminates strand interactions which can cause dynamic distortion and time-smearing of the signal. They also use extremely high purity copper. He loved their sound quality. In this video, John Darko of Darko Audio reviews the new Rotel Hi-Fi Michi X3 S2 Streaming DAC Integrated Amplifier. https://tinyurl.com/mhuhs5jn It sports 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 350 watts into 4 ohms. It has a custom wound toroidal transformer and it powered for streaming by a new ESS Sabre DAC. He compared it to the new Marantz Model 10 Integrated amplifier which sells for twice the price. He admired the X3's build quality. He tested with phono first and found it to be very competent. He found the Rotel X3 to have excellent bass dynamics with a CD stream. He found the X3 to be forgiving with lesser source material. It's dynamic performance outweighed the Marantz's clarity when listening to lower fidelity material. You can enjoy the music without noting the lack of fidelity. The Hegel Music System H200 is an integrated amplifier with 150 watts, a built-in DAC, phono stage, headphone amp, and full streaming. https://tinyurl.com/3ndjvd4k In this online review they go through it piece by piece: the design, what's inside, what's round the back, and what it actually sounds like. The front panel is simple with two control k***s, a display, and a headphone jack. It is available in black and white finishes. It is similar to the more powerful H400. is more compact. The top cover is removed during the video and you can see the large toroidal transformer and the clean layout of the streamer, DAC, and amplifier components. This amplifier sports their SoundEngine 2 technology with dramatically reduces distortion. It's damping factor is greater than 4000:1. The voltage stage and the current stage run on independent power and it is stable down to 2 ohms. It's well isolated construction separating digital from analog is impressive. It has a phono stage for MM cartridges. It sports both balanced and single ended analog input. It works with Roon, Spotify, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Goodle Cast and UPnP.
