Cited as a must see in the New York Times travel section, the Paper Moon is a one of a kind book and gift store located in McGregor, Iowa-just one block from the Mississippi River! The historic 1860’s building proudly went green with solar heat in 2009.

​The Paper Moon has been described as “the ultimate in therapy shopping.” The ground floor hosts a unique array of gifts, including beautiful jew

elry, a hand-picked line of cards and postcards, toiletries, household accessories, and tons of bizarre and fun stuff! The second level balcony holds new books in a comfortable and charming atmosphere; the third level is 1,000 square feet of children’s books and toys. Inventory is in constant flux and Louise and Jennifer work hard to make sure the store has something for everyone.

​Customer service is very important to staff members at the Paper Moon. They can help with personalized shopping, free gift wrapping, gift certificates, and free delivery in Prairie du Chien, McGregor, and Marquette. Stop by and visit!

Happy Tarot Tuesday! Our magical Ashley, who does our Tuesday tarot card pulls is off today! Late last night, we got a notification on our system that our camera caught movement in the shop! And sure enough Louise’s childhood dolls had been out checking out the new mugs we got in! They even picked out their favorites! Which one is your favorite mug? Mary sure likes to joke with Harold😝
