i just finished a book that the pulitzer called “obscene and unreadable.”

and… I kind of loved it.

looking for something fun for the kids this summer?

we are bringing in some extra fun to our storytimes every thursday and saturday over the next few months.

we’ve planned 10 themed weeks that will include songs, stories, and crafts from 10:15-10:45.

frequent attenders to storytime will notice that we’re starting a little earlier to give everyone plenty of time to enjoy the activities. again, we’ll start at 10:15, every thursday and saturday in june, july, and the beginning of august.

we’re still glowing from last week’s indie bookstore day. hundreds of people in the store all day. storytime with , shirts by and tons of memories made. one of our favorite parts of the store is the ability to share it with our neighbors. that includes customers and other adventurous people working on cool things like those fine folks mentioned above as well as and (more permanent collaborations coming btw so keep an eye out for that!)

we also wanna give a special shoutout and tank you to .marigold.stories for these *flawless* photos from the day. we care a lot about the culture and vibes we try to cultivate in the store, and she somehow captured exactly what we’re trying to do in these photos. hit her up for any of your photo needs in the future! we know we will calling her.

thank you to everyone who came out and to all who support us everyday. this still feels like a dream for our family that we never wanna wake up from.
