Monarch Fam! We have special hours coming this week and we wanted to give a little update on life.
As many of you know, Kelsey and Jordan are the heart and soul of Monarch. At this time we do not have any staff and run the business fully with just the two of us. Every now and then you may see some of my incredible family helping out behind the scenes. My parents and grandmother volunteer so much of their time to help make our dreams at Monarch truly possible.
Sadly the last few months we have had some major health concerns take place in our Monarch family. I/Kelsey am dealing with a lot of reproduction issues that have led to numerous doctor visits, er trips and meds that sometimes help. Jordan works a full time job, and unfortunately when I am dealing with health issues sometimes we have to close the store. To add to this, you may have noticed we have had to close multiple times in the last month due to a family emergency. My father is battling major health concerns that are sadly progressing. As of right now, my father has been in the hospital almost 30 days. This has led to at least 4 days we needed to close to be with family. Because as much as I love Monarch, my family ultimately comes first.
However, even with the chaos of health, Monarch still has some big events we have been preparing months for! For this week specifically, we will be closed for sure Tuesday 11/3 & Wednesday 11/4. We are participating in the annual Greater Cincinnati Holiday Market and need to take these two days for set up! Our hours for the rest of the week will be determined after we hear from my father’s doctors over the next two days. Jordan and I will be at the market Friday-Sunday, and if we open the store this week at all it will be because my mother is volunteering to come open.
I normally don’t share this much of our personal life with our Monarch family, but I wanted to provide some explanation on why our hours have been so crazy over the last few weeks and will continue to be crazy while we navigate the future with both my father’s and my health concerns.
We appreciate all of you so much for supporting our dreams here in downtown. We absolutely love what we do and find so much joy in creating new products to bring to you. More than ever, I appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate life.
Love you all,
Kelsey ❤️
