As a Relationship Manager, Austin is driven by a clear mission: uncover new opportunities, serve clients exceptionally well, and consistently exceed expectations. A strategic thinker who loves solving complex challenges, Austin helps clients navigate tight budgets and big-picture goals with confidence and creativity. To him, business is a lot like chess: competitive, thoughtful, and always better with a creative edge.
Since joining Avenue full-time in September, Austin has brought a unique blend of experience to the team. With a bachelor’s degree in music business and more than a decade in the AV industry, including serving as a general manager and formerly as a worship pastor, he pairs business acumen with production expertise and strong relational skills.
Outside of work, you’ll find Austin hiking, cycling, camping, playing music, or coaching and leading his local little league. An Enneagram 7 and ENFP at heart, he’s fueled by curiosity, connection, and adventure.

Great performances need spaces that can support them.

At Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts and Milwaukee Alexander Hamilton High School, outdated theater systems were making performances and events harder to manage. Avenue Systems helped update the lighting, rigging, curtains, and stage infrastructure to create safer and more functional theaters for students, staff, and the community.

If Avenue had a resident expert in both client care and obscure music trivia, it would unquestionably be Terry Rhodes. As Director of Client Relations, Terry leads the team responsible for building strong partnerships, crafting thoughtful contracts, and serving as the people-focused heartbeat of the company. Since 2018, he’s been Avenue’s unofficial translator of client needs, bringing clarity when ideas are hard to articulate.
Terry’s journey into the AV world began in ministry, where he grew up as a lifelong musician and went on to help manage more than a thousand ministry-related projects. He brings decades of relational experience and a sharp ability to truly understand what clients are trying to accomplish. He values clean visuals, distraction-free environments, and technology that enhances moments without stealing the spotlight.
Outside of work, Terry enjoys pickleball, golf, landscaping, audio mixing, and playing just about every instrument (especially the B3 organ). Rooted in the Carolinas for over 30 years, he’s a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud dog owner.

From the powerful WPM line array in the auditorium to distributed audio throughout the building, every system was chosen to deliver clear, consistent sound for every seat and every gathering.

For years, the performance space at Elm Creative Arts had the creativity and talent, but the lighting system was holding the space back.

Avenue Systems partnered with Milwaukee Public Schools to update the theater with modern lighting, simplified controls, and technology students can confidently use and interact with. The upgraded system gives the school far more flexibility for performances, rehearsals, concerts, and everyday use.
Projects like this are about more than equipment upgrades - they’re about creating spaces that better support students, teachers, and the arts.
