Tactile Craftworks Quality Leather Goods handcrafted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our work is most inspired by the idea of place, and our emotional responses to both home and travel.

Tactile Craftworks is a woman-owned and operated leather crafting company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Founded in 2014 by Sarah Heck and Anna Warren, we had been collaborating on hand-crafted projects since meeting in a theater prop shop in 2008. We knew we wanted to continue a shared aesthetic into a new project, and began by selling product at farmers markets and local fairs. Since making the

transition to wholesale in 2016, we now partner with over 200 retailers nationwide, and continue to craft each piece by hand. We take pride in our methods of using modern technologies to enhance our traditional skills. We value quality, heritage, history, and longevity; working to decrease the disposable and give story to the ordinary. We strive to make pieces that are durable to use, beautiful to look at, and satisfying to hold.

Sarah was born in Arizona, and visiting the Grand Canyon always feels like going home. After years of starts and stops on this line because it was just too personal, we’ve finally completed our Grand Canyon series. The original 1950s paper map has the full park on one side and the sweetest illustration of the South Rim Village on the other, a rare feature we’ve included on the interior pocket of the journal and on its own flask. As our most requested location ever, we hope you love it as much as we do.

✨The Samples and Seconds Sale is Live!✨

If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll remember that our favorite way to clear out stock is with a good ol’ fashioned Mystery Grab Bag. Each Mystery Bag will contain a product that is a sample or second, pieces that are beautifully functional but may have small aesthetic flaws or are discontinued designs. Some of them are even prototypes of maps or goods we haven’t released yet!

Large Bags include a journal or clutch, and Small Bags could be a flask, passport wallet, card wallet, or luggage tag. You pick the size bag, and we pick the product and the design. Bags start at just $20 and quantities are limited, so snag one (or a few) before they’re gone.

We have been unbelievably lucky to have an incredible pack at Tactile, but this week we had to say a very heavy goodbye to one of the best, our adored Wedge. The number of photos we have of each of us absolutely clutching him is notable. To say he will be missed is an understatement, but we’ll be forever grateful to Anna and Mike for choosing him, and for the years we had with him.
