Don't get it wrong- we LOVE her, but if Taylor Swift’s bright, polished pop feels like your favorite rom-com, we’re here channeling Stevie Nicks’ wild, mystical energy—the kind that invites you to dig deeper, dream bolder, and embrace the parts of yourself that others might not always understand. We’re not about perfection or predictability. Instead, we celebrate the messy, passionate, and deeply human stories that make your heart race and your soul light up. We know that love and desire are as varied as the people who experience them, and at FMC Books, you’ll find a safe, welcoming space to explore what sets your imagination on fire. Our own female main character, Tara, is a lifelong Missoulian that has been busy pulling all-nighters (accompanied by strong coffee and even stronger romance novels) to bring FMC Books to life. With deep roots in our community, Tara is no stranger to Missoula’s unique character, and she’s thrilled to be turning her dreams of small-business ownership into a reality right here at home. She’s pouring her heart and soul into creating FMC Books—a place where everyone can step in and feel empowered to be the heroine of their own story. You know, that one where life is as thrilling, passionate, and transformative as the best romance novel on your shelf.

Some people walk into a room. Some people make an entrance. And then there's Betty Venom.

Our October KBD x FMC Main Character of the Month is a performer, a creative force, a walking celebration of self-expression, and living proof that being unapologetically yourself is always in fashion.

And really, did we even have a choice? BETTY VENOM. IN OCTOBER. The casting department deserves a raise. 🕷️

We have officially lost control of the calendar. 🫡

ACOTARber is coming to FMC Books. And apparently our interpretation of “let’s do a fun little October theme” was fill every available square with book clubs, questionable decisions, paint, parties, fae nonsense, and one extremely anticipated release day.

We’re kicking things off with First Friday, gathering the gremlins for book clubs all month long, going BIG for The Great ACOTAR Gathering, getting crafty at Paint & Plot, causing trouble during Downtown Ladies Night, and celebrating ACOTAR 6 Release Day on October 27.
